About
Founder, APN, Dr. Davina Soernssen, holds more than 30 years of healthcare experience in various settings across her lifespan. She draws on a wide variety of clinical competencies including dermatology, aesthetics, healthcare management, performance improvement, audit, community health, pediatrics, education, and vascular access. Prior to launching the Med Spa at Clinical Edge, while Director of the Center of Excellence in Interprofessional Education, Practice, and Innovation at Rutgers University, she earned full accreditation from the Society for Simulation in Healthcare (SSH) in the areas of Core and Teaching/Education in 2019. While practicing in the area of dermatology, aesthetics and wellness at the Med Spa, Dr. Soernssen remains active in the development and instruction of continuing education courses at the Center for Education, Research and Innovation, School of Nursing-Rutgers University in Newark. Dr. Soernssen is the 2018 recipient of a project grant from the Association of Community Health Nursing Educators for Innovation in Evidence-Based Practice designed to promote community/public health nursing education. Her work has been published in the areas infusion therapy, oncology and the assessment and utilization of best practice.
