Can I order a test for someone else to take?
Because of the highly personalized nature of our test analysis and recommendations, you should not use your Thorne account to order a test for someone else to take. As an option, you can encourage that person to create their own account and order a test. That way the person being tested can be sure our results and recommendations are optimized according to his or her personalized health profile.
How does Thorne personalize my recommendations?
Thorne provides a comprehensive, personalized plan – based on your at-home test biomarker results – to address potential health concerns by suggesting what to eat, how to exercise, and whether to add supplements. Our personalization starts with your Health Profile, where we gain information about you, your environment, and your lifestyle so your report and recommendations can address your most significant health concerns and health goals. Then we personalize your wellness recommendations with the help of Onegevity’s Health Intelligence platform, which is includes medically supervised proprietary algorithms and published research that correlate millions of data points. These algorithms have been developed by Onegevity’s Science and Medical teams in combination with Thorne’s Medical Affairs Department and is comprised of MDs, PhDs, NDs, and RDs. Many of them are leaders in their fields, including gut health, sports medicine, pharmacology, bioinformatics, and metabolomics.
