Omega-3s EPA and DHA

Thorne’s EPA and DHA are extracted from a variety of fatty fish sustainably harvested from the cold ocean waters off the coasts of Peru and Chile. The specific fish, by product, are the following:

• Anchovy – Omega-3 w/CoQ10
• Anchovy, sardine, mackerel – Super EPA, Omega Superb and Super EPA Pro
• Anchovy, sardine, squid, herring, mackerel - Advanced DHA, Prenatal DHA and Pro-Resolving Mediators
• Algae – DHA in VeganPro Complex

The fish oils in Thorne’s omega-3 nutritional supplements are extracted via non-solvent methods that provide the purest oil possible. These methods provide clean, concentrated products, while removing heavy metals, pesticides, and PCBs. Molecular distillation is used for all products except Super EPA Pro, which uses a green technology called super-critical CO2 extraction.

Molecular forms of Thorne’s fish oil products:

• Ethyl ester (which provides for a more concentrated EPA/DHA content with fewer and smaller capsules: Super EPA, Super EPA Pro, Omega-3 w/ CoQ10
