Amber Fischer, MS, CNS, Functional Nutritionist

Amber Fischer is a functional nutritionist and Certified Nutrition Specialist serving San Antonio and surrounding areas. She uses integrative and functional nutrition techniques to help her clients achieve health and wellness. Amber specializes in infertility issues and autoimmune disorders for women's health. Her passions are support for polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) as well as other infertility issues but she also enjoys helping clients support treatment of other health conditions such as weight loss and obesity, type II diabetes, insulin resistance, thyroid issues, irritable bowel syndrome and other gastrointestinal concerns, autoimmune diseases, inflammation and chronic pain and mental health issues like anxiety and depression. Amber holds a Master’s of Science in Integrative and Functional Nutrition from Saybrook University and is a Certified Nutrition Specialist with the Board of Certification of Nutrition Specialists. Her office is at the Balanced Health Healing Center in San Antonio where she works closely with Kay Spears, MS, CCN, and other integrative health professionals. She is now actively welcoming clients. Nutrition plays a vastly important role in the creation, management, and treatment of disease and Amber can explain how the body, and what we use to fuel it, can have critical effects on our health. Functional nutrition focuses on the individual, recognizing that while there are certain nutritional principles we all should probably adhere to, each one of us in uniquely different and should have a unique health plan. Amber can help you create a nutrition and lifestyle plan that matches your unique needs. Amber is also trained in the importance of integrative interventions, such as mindfulness meditation, and can help you decide which therapy would fit within your lifestyle to reduce stress and increase well-being. Amber meets clients in and around San Antonio and also helps clients through distance meetings. She uses Skype or other telecommunication to meet with her clients from afar.
