Are Thorne products certified organic?

Although many of the ingredients in Thorne products are organic, Thorne products themselves are not certified as organic.

Does Thorne test its products on animals?

No. Furthermore, Thorne supports the objective of eliminating the laboratory testing of all animals.

I have a Thorne product that has expired. Can I still use it?

We don’t recommend using a Thorne product after its expiration date. Thorne conducts stability testing on our products, which ensures the potency of every ingredient at the product’s expiration date. Because of our stability testing program, Thorne can guarantee that its products meet 100 percent of the product's label claims up to the time of expiration. Although we don’t recommend using a product after its expiration date, it certainly won't harm you if you do use it. It doesn't mean the product has "gone bad" – it just means one or more of the ingredients might be at less than 100 percent potency.

Can your products be taken out of the capsule to take them?

Most Thorne products can be taken out of their two-piece, pull-apart capsule. However, there are several products that we don't recommend taking out of the capsule, and this recommendation is indicated in the “Warnings” section on the webpage for the applicable products.

What if my package is damaged or missing?

We are always here to provide a remedy in these situations. Please contact Thorne's Customer Service Department and a representative will be happy to assist you.

Do you have SAMe?

Thorne does not have a product that contains S-Adenosyl-L-methionine. Thorne believes a better alternative to SAMe is 5-Methyltetrahydrofolate, or 5-MTHF. M-MTHF is necessary for converting homocysteine to methionine, which is then converted to SAMe. Without enough 5-MTHF, SAMe is not efficiently recycled, which is another reason why 5-MTHF is a preferable ingredient to SAMe.
