Vitammune
In Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine, health occurs when the "defensive chi" is strong enough to keep unhealthy factors from invading the animal's body. However, if the defensive chi is weak or insufficient, the foreign invaders can cause disease.
Vitammune has been formulated to enhance the function of the immune system. Vitammune may also be considered for patient management post-chemotherapy or radiation, improvement of general health, and for nutritional support of animals with frequent upper respiratory infections.
Western Indications:
For general weakness, fatigue, apathy, poor appetite, and weight loss in senior animals.
For immune support and nutritional support post-chemotherapy or post-radiation therapy.
For nutritional support: (1) in animals with chronic viral infections; (2) in animals with anemia; (3) in animals with hypothyroidism; (4) in dogs with arthritis; (5) in animals with chronic renal failure; and, (6) in animals with frequent upper respiratory infections.
Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medicine (TCVM) Applications:
Qi and blood deficiency
Weakness
Exercise intolerance
Fatigue
Poor appetite
Pale tongue and weak pulse
Course: As needed. Vitammune can be used over many months. Vitammune can be used 1-3 months as an immune booster, until the problem has cleared, or for prevention of upper respiratory and other infectious diseases.
Note: Do not use Vitammune for an animal with an acute inflammation or in an infectious phase of a disease. A high fever means there is an excessive heat pattern, which would be treated with a different Chinese herbal formula, such as Bactolyte or Virolyte.
