for immuno-compromised individuals*
A properly functioning immune system is crucial to good health.* Like other processes in the body, balance is the key, because either an inadequate immune response or an exaggerated immune response can both lead to significant health problems. Interest has recently surged in the immune-enhancing effects of many nutrients and botanicals.* For example, research has found that many natural substances can enhance the positive immune response in the body of certain while blood cells, including phagocytes, T-lymphocytes, natural killer (NK) cells, and B-cells.*
Nutritional deficiencies are common in individuals with compromised immune function. Since most vitamins and minerals are involved in enhancing immunity, a comprehensive, high-potency, multiple vitamin-mineral formula is essential.*
Basic Immune Nutrients combines the most well-absorbed vitamins and minerals from our Basic Nutrients multiples with nutrients known to enhance immune system function.* Designed by a practitioner who specializes in immuno-compromised patients, this comprehensive multiple vitamin-mineral formula includes extra selenium and vitamins A, E, and B6, as well as the antioxidant nutrients R-lipoic acid, coenzyme Q10, and N-acetylcysteine. Lipase is also included to enhance absorption of fat-soluble vitamins, typically an inefficient function in these individuals.
